【摘要】:Thispracticeisintendedsolelyfortheevaluationofmetallic-coated,paintedmetallic-coated,andpaintednonmetallic-coatedmaterialsusedforthemanufactureofcoldformedframingmembers.CorrelationandextrapolationofcorrosionperformancebasedonexposuretothetestenvironmentprovidedbyPracticeB117arenotalwayspredictable.Correlationandextrapolationshouldbeconsideredonlyincaseswhereappropriatecorroboratinglong-termatmosphericexposureshavebeenconducted.ThispracticeassesseswhethercoatedmaterialsnotcurrentlyinSpecificationA1003/A1003Msatisfytherequiredminimumcorrosioncharacteristics.1.1Thispracticecoversproceduresforestablishingtheacceptabilityofmetallic-coatedsteelsheet,paintedmetallic-coatedsteelsheetandpaintednonmetallic-coatedsteelsheetforuseascoldformedframingmembers.1.2Thispracticeshallbeusedtoassessthecorrosionresistanceofdifferentcoatingsonsteelsheetinalaboratorytest.Itshallnotbeusedasanapplicationperformancestandardforthecoldformedframingmembers.1.3ThepracticeshallbeusedtoevaluatecoatingsunderconsiderationforadditiontoSpecificationA1003/A1003M.1.4Thevaluesstatedineitherinch-poundorSIunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Withinthetext,theSIunitsareshowninbrackets.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother.1.5Thetextofthisstandardreferencesnotesandfootnotesthatprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes,excludingthoseintablesandfigures,shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthestandard.
