【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandarddefines,describesandclassifiesthecharacteristics,changesinappearanceandpossiblecausesoffailureofrollingbearingsoccurringinservice.Itwillassistintheunderstandingofthevariousformsofchangeinappearanceandthefailurethathasoccurred.ForthepurposesofthisInternationalStandardtheterm“failureofrollingbearings”meanstheresultofadefectordamagethatpreventsthebearingmeetingtheintendeddesignperformance.Considerationisrestrictedtocharacteristicformsofchangeinappearanceandfailure,whichhaveawell-definedappearanceandwhichcanbeattributedtoparticularcauseswithahighdegreeofcertainty.Thefeaturesofparticularinterestforexplainingchangesandfailuresaredescribed.Thevariousformsareillustratedwithphotographsanddiagrams,andthemostfrequentcausesareindicated.Thefailuremodedesignationsshowninthesubclausetitlesarerecommendedforgeneraluse,butsimilarexpressionsorsynonymsaregivenwithinparenthesesbelowthetitles.ExamplesofrollingbearingfailuresaregiveninAnnexA,togetherwithadescriptionofthecausesoffailureandproposedcorrectiveactions.
