【摘要】:Thistestmethodprovidesanindicationofhowclosetoawallorbaseboardavacuumcleanerremovesdirt/dust.Theamountofdirtremovedinthelaboratorytestmaynotbethesameasinahome;however,itwillshowthat,inmostcases,avacuumcleanerthatperformswellinthelaboratorywillperformwellinahome.Laboratoryresultsmaydifferduetovariationsinthehomes:carpets,dirt,andotherfactors.Note18212;Theprimarygoalofthistestmethodisnottoevaluatethedegreeortheamountofdirtordustdebristhatagivenproductremoves,butratherhowclosetoawallorbaseboardavacuumhasperformedsomemeasureofcleaning.Inordertoprovideauniformbasisformeasuringtheperformancedescribedin1.1,astandardizedtestcarpetandtestdustareemployedinthisprocedure.1.1Thistestprocedureprovidesaquantitativelaboratorymethodfordeterminingtheedgecleaningeffectivenessofavacuumcleaneralongwallsandbaseboards.1.2Thistestmethodisapplicabletohouseholdandcommercialtypesofupright,canister,combination,stickandhandheldvacuumcleaners.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
