【摘要】:Thepipeandfittingsinthisspecificationaredesignedandhavethephysical,chemical,andotherpropertiesforseweranddrainageapplicationsoutsidethebuilding.Thepipeisnotintendedforuseaspublicormunicipalcollectorsewers.Thefollowingliststhetypicalapplicationsfortheseweranddrainpipe:Buildingsewersandundergrounddrainsstandard,Stormdrainagestandardandperforated,Houseconnectionstoseptictanksstandard,Leachingsystempipingforseptictankeffluentsstandardandperforated,Footingdrains(foundationdrains)standardandperforated,Industrialwastedisposalstandardandperforated,andLanddrainagestandardandperforated.1.1Thisspecificationcoversrequirementsandtestmethodsformaterials,dimensions,workmanship,chemicalresistance,andjointtightnessofpoly(vinylchloride)(PVC)seweranddrainpipeandfittings.Perforatedpipeisalsocovered;thejointtightnesstestisnotapplicableforperforatedpipe.Aformofmarkingtoindicatecompliancewiththisspecificationisalsoincluded.1.2Thetextofthisspecificationreferencesnotes,footnotes,andappendixeswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthespecification.1.3Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.4Thefollowingprecautionarycaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportion,Section6,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
